Writing in Style Discusses the Importance of Memorial Day
Cindy Zimmermann, self-appointed advocate holds Memorial Day very dear to her as a special holiday.
PHOENIX, AZ, May 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Zimmermann knows first hand through her experience with death and dying that handwritten letters can really make a difference. Letters are a memorial, and can serve as a memory of the deceased.
Zimmermann's recent column in the June edition of Pen World International Magazine discusses the importance of the handwritten letter. Zimmermann says, "From my experience with death and dying, there is an urgency to find "important papers" when someone passes. Handwritten notes become almost as important as the last will and testament to those that have lost a loved one. They become part of our memories of our time together--a validation of the relationship as we remember it."
As a volunteer and physician liaison for Hospice of the Valley for many years, Cindy was known to help physicians with patient care. Zimmermann continues to help valley physicians and recently interviewed Dr. Richard P Jacoby, who is President of Valley Foot Surgeons and works in Scottsdale. They discuss the importance of Hospice care both personally and professionally. The interview can be found at www.writinginstyle.com
Zimmermann, is known for collecting, interviewing and archiving stories of letters that make a difference. This Memorial Day, take time to read or write and remember loved ones who are no longer with us.
