International Women's Forum, Connecticut hosts discussion on women's equality with Vision 2020's Connecticut Delegate, Forum member and Norwalk resident, Jo Dutcher
The International Women's Forum, Connecticut hosted a discussion for their members and guests on women's equality and the advancement of women's leadership - some suprising statistics revealed.

IVORYTON, CT, July 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The International Women's Forum, Connecticut hosted a discussion for their members and guests on women's equality and the advancement of women's leadership on July 12th, at a private reception in Darien, CT. Featured speakers included Jo Dutcher, Connecticut Delegate for Vision 2020 and recently reinstated IWF, CT member as well as, Teresa Younger, Executive Director, Connecticut General Assembly's Permanent Commission on the Status of Women.

Nancy May, Vice-President and director of programs for the IWF, CT looks for opportunities to bring experts from diverse backgrounds that can speak on issues affecting women in today's society. The members of the IWF, CT meet throughout the year hosting events, private dinners and work on philanthropic endeavors to benefit women in the State of Connecticut.

According to the White House Project Report: Benchmarking Women's Leadership recent statistics, only 3% of Fortune 500 companies' CEOs are women. In addition, only 18% of our top leaders are women and they make 78.7 cents to every dollar earned by a man. Jo Dutcher, a Director at Deloitte, the international accounting and consulting firm, is responsible for succession planning and leadership development for high talent partners serving the firm's most significant global attest clients. She developed the highly successful Next Generation partner development curriculum which focuses on developing future generations of client service leadership for Deloitte.

Vision 2020 is a national initiative developed by the Institute for Women's Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine to make equality a national priority through shared leadership among women and men.
