Chado: The Way of Tea is a restaurant and tea company which specializes in organic tea and modern Japanese cuisine. They offer over 80 varieties of organic tea and they also supply several restaurants in Australia with their tea. Dr. Kulasekera is responsible for managing all major aspects of the business as well as overseeing the daily operations.

During her collegiate career, Dr. Kulasekera earned a PhD in Entomology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Maryland. She served as a Medical Entomologist with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from 2000-2003. Dr. Kulasekera is also the author of numerous scientific articles and children's books.
