Mary P. Riebe, Ph.D. Named a VIP of the Year for Excellence in Consulting

DEERWOOD, MN, October 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Riebe, Ph.D., Principal of Mary Riebe Consulting, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business consulting.

Dr. Riebe is a skilled business professional with a desire to help women entrepreneurs. With nearly 25 years of experience, she specializes in guiding female entrepreneurs to shorten their learning curves to success. She utilizes this expertise in her role as principal of Mary Riebe Consulting. In addition to providing mentoring services, she does public speaking and presents at seminars and conferences locally, nationally and internationally, on challenges regarding women business owners and women's leadership. She currently offers consulting services to women entrepreneurs and has advised more than 150 business owners.

Furthermore, Dr. Riebe has founded and developed two centers for women entrepreneurs and has authored two peer-reviewed publications forthcoming in print. This includes "Giving Away Success Revisited: The Case of Women Entrepreneurs" a chapter in publisher Edward F. Elgar's book on women entrepreneurs to be released January 2012. Holding the rank of business professor, she has taught graduate and undergraduate marketing and entrepreneurship at four universities, including Chatham University. At Chatham, she also served as the executive director of business programs while founding her second center for women entrepreneurs. In recognition of her work, Dr. Riebe was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. She is also a recipient of NAWBO's Vision Award and Luminary Award, for leading women entrepreneurs, in addition to the Small Business Administration (SBA) Women Advocacy Award and Research Award. She has also served as a U.S. delegate on women's issues in China and Turkey.

Dr. Riebe holds a Ph.D. in business from the University College Cork and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Her Ph.D. was awarded in 2001 based upon her research on women growing their businesses in the United States, Ireland, and Finland. She considers her success to be a result of her perseverance and her dedication to further guiding women entrepreneurs personally and professionally. Looking toward the future, Dr. Riebe plans to focus on starting another university affiliated center for women entrepreneurs focused on growth challenges.
