TARRYTOWN, NY, November 25, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who proudly announces the addition of Johanna Maria Rose to the exclusive network of premier professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the performing arts. Throughout her brilliant professional career, Johanna has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and perseverance necessary to be considered among the best.

Johanna offers private vocal lessons for aspiring professionals and those who just want to sing for the fun of it. She teaches basic Bel Canto technique which can be applied to all styles of singing. Johanna teaches students how to work on breathing and placement, helping them to develop and open up their voice which allows them to enjoy singing freely and to dig into the meaning of their songs. She has experience singing in numerous languages and can help students with diction and expression.

In addition to giving private vocal lessons, Johanna also serves as a Project Designer for Kleine Musik with a concert program of works from Heinrich Schutz's "Kleine Geistllche Konzerte" interwoven with setting of the same texts by British contemporary composer Ivan Mooday. She was also a Soloist and Choir Member with St. Michael's Episcopal Church from 1984-1998.

During her collegiate career, Johanna earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Early Music Performance Practice from Sarah Lawrence College. She also studied Acting and Speech at Herbert Berghof Studios. Additionally, Johanna took voice studies with Myron McPherson and Leyna Gabriele.
