During the course of her 14 years in the legal profession, Ms. Roberts has acquired expertise in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, and construction law. At Spilman Thomas & Battle, Ms. Roberts handles all aspects of litigation for the firm, including trials, motion practice, electronic discovery, fact and expert depositions, alternative dispute resolution, writing briefs and preparation of case assessments. Most importantly, Ms. Roberts uses her litigation background to counsel clients on ways to minimize or avoid litigation. Ms. Roberts has represented product manufacturers, distributors, design professionals, retail and lending institutions, contractors, real estate developers and individuals in litigation involving many aspects of product liability, professional liability, construction and design. She has tried cases before juries in state and federal courts, including one of the longest civil jury trials in South Carolina state court, as well as provided extensive litigation support to various trial teams. Named a Professional of the Year in Legal Services by Cambridge Who's Who in 2010, she attributes her success to her diligence and strict attention to detail in her endeavor to provide clients with exceptional legal service.

Ms. Roberts received a JD from the University of Florida and her BA in International Studies from Emory University. She is a member of The North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida Bars. Ms. Roberts is active in the North Carolina Bar Association, including service on its Diversity Task Force, Construction Law Section Council, 4-All Task Force and Development Committee, and in the Defense Research Institute, including service on the Women in the Law Committee and several subcommittees. She has spoken for seminars presented by The Center for International Legal Studies, National Business Institute, and Law Education Institute.
