Tiare started her professional career as a sole proprietor sewing slip covers in her laundry room. From there, she decided to go to design school where she earned her interior design certification. She then worked for a design firm for 7 years until she started her family and decided to start her own design firm. Tiare worked as a sole proprietor for many years until her brother and she decided to buy a kitchen design business. She then became a certified kitchen designer and did that for many years until they merged the two companies in 2004 to form Archipelago Hawaii.

Tiare is an award-winning designer who is exceptionally skilled in high-end residential and commercial interior design as well as being an expert in furniture, slipcover, and upholstery selections. Tiare is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
