Prompt Proofing Offers Marketing Tips About Your Company Website

VANCOUVER, BC, February 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Following on from last month's marketing tips, we discuss how to use your company's website as a marketing tool.
Take your website seriously and make sure you are utilizing its full potential as a marketing tool. Ensure your website is search engine optimized and that it sends the right message to potential clients who visit it. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Is your site user friendly?
- Does it tell potential customers what your business can do for them - and how it can solve their problems?
- Is there a clear 'call to action'?
Resist the temptation to put too much detail on your website about your company and everything it offers. Focus instead on your site's readers and how your company can provide solutions to their problems or fulfill their needs.
Consider having a blog on your site, if you don't already, and update it at least once a week. Not only does your blog give you the perfect opportunity to inform and educate potential clients, but constantly refreshing content on your site will help improve your search engine ranking (you can always use a blog writing service if you don't have time to write the blog yourself). Bear in mind that your purpose should be just that, to inform and educate - not to sell! If you run a restaurant, feature some suggested wine pairings or write about using organic ingredients; if you have a landscaping business, write articles about seasonal plantings, etc. The idea is to give potential customers helpful and interesting information and keep them coming back to read your latest offering. Update your blog on the same day each week so readers know when to expect a new offering. Predictability is not boring; it ensures that your name is kept prominent in the minds of your audience. You should also include a link to each new blog post on LinkedIn, Twitter and your company Facebook page.
Check back the second week of March to learn how networking fits into your marketing strategy.
